Viafrica collaborates with e-Learning for Kids

12-10-2011

Viafrica gets 220 interactive e-learning lessons of the foundation ‘E-learning for kids’ to use on schools in Tanzania and Kenya. The courses are about language, numeracy, physics, English as a second language, computer skills, health, life skills and personal care. The lessons last between twenty and thirty minutes and are developed on the basis of the latest didactic insights.

Viafrica uses e-learning lessons for the Classworks programme that accompanies the secondary schools in the management and use of a computerlab. Since 2003, Viafrica implemented over 150 computer rooms this means fifty thousand students have access to ict education.

These lessons will also be used for the lifeskills lessons in the new Viafrica programme Kidsworks. This programme delivers digital resources to local social organisations working in primary schools. These social organisations offer additional courses supplementary to the normal curriculum in areas such as health, children's rights, sex education and hygiene.
