End of pilot CLASSworksBox

In Kenya the pilot of the CLASSworksBox has ended followed by a positive evaluation and a new application for the next round of schools. In December 2010 the teachers of the two pilot schools, God With Us Girls School and Riabai High School, received a one day training about how to use the Box. They also got the normal getting started teacher training. In January 2011 they received the CLASSworksboxes.

The students were very exited to have the boxes in their schools because it brought opportunities to do outdoor activities and use multimedia gadgets they wouldn't have had a chance to use. The things that they found most interesting were: the beamer, speakers and Wikipedia for Schools. They also used them for other lessons and leisure.

The teachers thought the materials in the box exited the students. The teachers also used them for teaching other subjects besides what was written in the teachers manual of the box. At both schools the teachers in charge thought the three months period was long enough.
