The Viafrica organisation in the Netherlands consists of a small core of paid employees supported by a team of enthusiastic volunteers and interns. Viafrica offers ICT professionals and consultants the unique opportunity to support our projects by working a number of weeks in Africa on a concrete assignment.

ICT professionals and consultants

In cooperation with outsourcing agency IT-staffing we annually recruit eight ICT professionals for a mission of three weeks to one of our ICT centres in Tanzania or Kenya.

From these two centres schools are supported in using and managing a computer room, and by solving varying ICT questions. That is why Viafrica regularly looks for Dutch ICT professionals who want to use their expertise to support the local staff in Africa.

Outsourcing agency IT-staffing selects the ICT professionals and pays the travel and accommodation expenses. The ICT professional is expected to work three weeks for free. In the past few years ICT professionals have been regularly dispatched to Africa. Read more about their experiences on the Viafrica blog.
