Viafrica foundation supports organisations in Africa with the use and administration of ICT. The starting point for all projects is independent legitimacy in the local context.

Viafrica focuses on the local middle class, the underlying idea is that they will be the drive for future developments.

CLASSworks is the main programme of Viafrica. Through CLASSworks schools are supported with the realisation and implementation of a digital learning environment. Currently more than 95 schools participate in the CLASSworks programme.

In March the Viafrica Awards were issued in Kenya to schools with the best idea of ICT use within education and schools that perform best in the Viafrica ICT exam.

CLASSworks goes Sierra Leone! Sierra eriders will be the new implementing partner of Viafrica. The last months a lot of effort has been put in the transfer of the concept, the technical solutions and the procedures.

Sierra eriders is now ready for the real work. Five schools will receive a computer laboratory in 2009. In 2010 this will be upscaled to 20 schools.
